Airworthiness Directive
This placard reproduces the fuel-gauge warning required by AD 77-01-01, and reproduces Piper placard part number 35669-14. The AD applies to Piper PA-28-140, PA-28-150, PA-28-160, PA-28-180, PA-28-151, PA-28-181, PA-28-235, PA-28R-200, and PA-32-300 airplanes.
Whether the AD applies to your aircraft depends on your model and serial number. Your aircraft’s POH/AFM and the applicable Airworthiness Directive are the final authority on the required placard, its exact wording, and its placement — confirm these for your aircraft before ordering and installing. Materials & installation
- Thermally printed on 3M Scotchcal 220 high-performance cast vinyl, rated for years of service (−40°F to 225°F).
- Sealed with a Lexan over-laminate for a tough, scratch- and abrasion-resistant cockpit finish that stays clear and legible.
- Pre-cut with a peel-and-stick pressure-sensitive adhesive — clean the surface, peel the backing, and press it into place. No trimming required.

Does this placard make my aircraft compliant with the AD?
It reproduces the exact wording the Airworthiness Directive requires, so it satisfies the placard itself. You or your A&P/IA still confirm the AD applies to your aircraft by model and serial number, install the placard where the AD specifies, and make the required maintenance record. Your POH/AFM and the AD are the final authority.
Why does the wording have to match the AD?
An Airworthiness Directive specifies the exact placard text, so we print it to match — the required wording is not changed. If a different AD or revision applies to your aircraft, contact us with the exact text you need and we will print it to match.
How is it installed?
It is pre-cut with a peel-and-stick pressure-sensitive adhesive — clean the surface, peel the backing, and press it into place. Mount it where the AD and your POH/AFM specify, in full view of the pilot.
