Piper Auto Fuel STC Placard, 25 Gal, 91 Min Octane (Set of 2)
$18.00
This Piper auto fuel STC placard set is a two-piece exterior decal for Piper aircraft operating on an automotive fuel STC, marking a 25 U.S. gallon usable capacity and a 91 minimum octane rating. Thermally printed on durable 3M cast vinyl with a fuel- and UV-resistant Tedlar over-laminate.
Overview
This Piper auto fuel STC placard set marks approved automotive fuel (auto fuel STC), the minimum octane rating (91), and usable tank capacity (25 U.S. gallons) at the fuel filler cap for aircraft approved to operate on automotive gasoline under a supplemental type certificate. Each order includes two placards—one for each wing fuel filler cap. Each set is manufactured to meet or exceed the material and performance requirements of the original placards.
Compatibility
These placards are made to meet the requirements of the original Piper fuel filler cap markings for auto fuel STC operation at a 25-gallon usable capacity and 91 minimum octane. This set is for Piper aircraft approved to burn automotive gasoline under a supplemental type certificate—the Petersen Aviation auto-fuel STC (SA2660CE) or the EAA auto-fuel STC. The 91 minimum-octane marking must match the octane your specific STC and airframe require, so confirm the approved fuel and usable capacity against your STC paperwork and POH/AFM before ordering. If you’d like to confirm fitment for your aircraft, please contact us.
This information is a guide. Your aircraft’s POH/AFM and the Piper parts manual are the final authority—confirm the approved fuel grade, usable capacity, and the correct placard for your model and serial number before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Piper auto fuel STC placard show the fuel type or the usable capacity?
Both. On later Piper models, the required fuel filler cap marking is the minimum approved fuel grade—the fuel type—and the usable-capacity figure is no longer required. Earlier placards listed both. We print the approved grade together with the usable-gallon figure, because many pilots find the capacity a handy reference at the filler cap even though only the fuel-type marking is required today.
What’s included?
A set of two identical fuel placards—one for each wing fuel filler cap.
How is it installed?
Each placard uses a peel-and-stick pressure sensitive adhesive. Clean the surface, peel the backing, and press it into place near the fuel filler cap—no trimming required.
How do I confirm this placard is correct for my aircraft?
Your aircraft’s POH/AFM and the Piper parts manual are the final authority. Check them for the approved fuel grade, usable capacity, and the original placard for your specific model and serial number. If you’d like a hand, contact us with your model and serial number and we’ll point you to the right set.
